Cautions and Warnings
For adult use only. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking sulfonamides, antidepressant medications, blood pressure medication, anticoagulants/blood thinners, digoxin, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or birth control pills, anti-inflammatory or antibiotic agents, or are having surgery. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have diabetes, an iron deficiency, a liver disorder, develop symptoms of liver trouble (such as abdominal pain, dark urine or jaundice), a gastrointestinal lesion/ulcer, or an allergy to latex or fruits (such as avocado, banana, chestnut, passion fruit, fig, melon, mango, kiwi, pineapple, peach, and tomato). If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a health care practitioner. If you have nausea, fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, or severe abdominal pain, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. If symptoms of digestive upset (e.g. diarrhea) occur, worsen, or persist beyond 3 days, discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner. Consult with a health care practitioner prior to use in the case of an estrogen-dependent cancer. If you have a liver disorder, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. Stop use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness and/or loss of appetite and consult a health care practitioner. If you have an iron deficiency, consult a health care practitioner prior to use.
Contra-Indications
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you have bipolar disorder or bipolar spectrum disorder. If you have an immune-compromised condition (e.g. AIDS, lymphoma, patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid treatment), do not use this product.
Known Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity (e.g allergy) has been known to occur; in which case discontinue use. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use (and consult a health care practitioner). Some people may experience anxiety, headaches, irritability or insomnia, in which case, discontinue use. Rare, unpredictable cases of liver injury associated with green tea extract-containing products have been reported (in Canada and internationally).
